Dear EBRPSS Families,
Due to evolving circumstances, we will be temporarily closing schools on Monday, August 21, 2023 in order for our district leadership to meet and discuss solutions with employee groups who have expressed challenges to their roles. These issues are impacting the stability of our education system and commitment to you, so this cancellation is to ensure we are making appropriate shifts to ensure a productive process and outcome to meet your family’s needs.
Superintendent Narcisse has worked with district and individual school leaders over the weekend to facilitate Monday meetings with each group is to talk through issues and challenges to provide solutions and get kids back to schools. This will include separate meetings with bus operators, aides, mechanics, child nutrition workers and local union leaders.
We realize this is a major disturbance for our families with significant impact on many elements of your lives, and we sincerely apologize for this disruption. Please know that our entire district leadership team continues to work with individual school leaders.
We will notify you about Tuesday classroom status by 6pm Monday so you can make appropriate preparations.
