Meeting Opening

Meeting called to order at 5:00 PM by School Board President Michael Gaudet.

Invocation was led by School Board Member Evelyn Ware-Jackson, and Pledge of Allegiance by School Board Member Dadrius Lanus.

Roll Call

Others present were: Mr. Warren Drake, Superintendent; Mr. Gwynn Shamlin Jr., General Counsel; Mr. Adam Smith, Associate Superintendent; Mr. Ben Necaise, Associate Superintendent; Dr. Quentina Timoll, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction; Mrs. Andrea O’Konski, Chief Officer for Accountability and Assessments; Mr. James Crochet, Chief Officer for Business Operations; Mrs. Millie Williams, Chief Officer for Human Resources; Mr. Gary Reese, Chief Officer for Student Support Services; Mrs. Stacey Dupre, Chief Officer for Support and Special Projects; Mr. Richard Ellis, Chief Officer for Technology; and Mrs. Taylor Gast, Director of Communications and Public Relations.

Election of Vice-President of the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board

School Board President Michael Gaudet declared the Vice-President position vacant prior to the election.

Motion by Michael Gaudet, seconded by David Tatman

Final Resolution: Motion Carries

Yea: Mark Bellue, Dadrius Lanus, Tramelle Howard, Evelyn Ware-Jackson, Michael Gaudet, David Tatman

Nay: Jill Dyason

Abstain: Connie Bernard

School Board President Michael Gaudet reopened the floor for nominations for Vice-President of the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board.

Motion by Evelyn Ware-Jackson, seconded by Connie Bernard

Final Resolution: Motion Carries

Yea: Mark Bellue, Dadrius Lanus, Tramelle Howard, Evelyn Ware-Jackson, Michael Gaudet, Connie Bernard, David Tatman

Nay: Jill Dyason

School Board President Michael Gaudet opened the floor for nominations for Vice-President of the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board.

Evelyn Ware-Jackson nominated Tramelle Howard.

Motion to close the floor for nominations for the election of the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board Vice-President.

Motion by David Tatman, seconded by Ware-Jackson

Tramelle Howard was elected as Vice-President by a roll vote.

Yea: Mark Bellue, Dadrius Lanus, Tramelle Howard, Evelyn Ware-Jackson, Michael Gaudet, Connie Bernard, David Tatman

Not Present at Vote: Jill Dyason

There being no further business, the Board adjourned by acclamation.
