A. Meeting Opening

1. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 8:51 PM by School Board President David Tatman.

2. Roll Call

Members present were Mark Bellue, Dadrius Lanus, Tramelle Howard, Evelyn Ware-Jackson, Jill Dyason, Michael Gaudet, and David Tatman.

Dawn Collins and Connie Bernard were absent.

Others present were Sito Narcisse, Superintendent; Gwynn Shamlin Jr., General Counsel; Caron Smith, Chief of Staff; Arcelius Brickhouse Jr., Interim Chief of Schools; Letrece Griffin, Chief Communication/Public Relations; Andrea O’Konski, Chief Officer for Accountability and Assessments; Amy Jones, Chief Technology Officer; and Stacey Dupre, Chief Officer for Support and Special Projects.

B. Items for Consideration

1. Job Description

Motion to approve the job description for a School Resource Officer (armed).

Motion by Jill Dyason, second by Evelyn Ware-Jackson.

Substitute motion to approve the job description for a School Safety Officer.

Motion by Dadrius Lanus, second by Tramelle Howard.

Motion Fails

Yea: Lanus, Howard

Nay: Bellue, Ware-Jackson, Dyason, Gaudet, Tatman

Motion to approve the job description for a School Resource Officer (armed).

Final Resolution: Motion Carries

Yea: Bellue, Lanus, Ware-Jackson, Dyason, Gaudet, Tatman

Nay: Howard

2. Grade Configuration-Kenilworth

Motion to defer the consideration of a request for the approval for a PK-8th grade configuration at Kenilworth school conditioned upon its return to EBRPSS to a date not certain. Strategic Alignment: Student Achievement

Motion by Michael Gaudet, second by Evelyn Ware-Jackson.

Final Resolution: Motion Carries

There being no further business, the Special Meeting adjourned by acclamation.
