BOARD ATTORNEY

The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board recognizes that the increasing complexity of school system operations frequently requires procurement of professional legal services.  Consequently, the School Board shall employee legal assistance in accordance with statutes.  The primary function of the Board's attorney shall be to provide professional legal counsel and representation to the School Board and Superintendent.

The school district shall be authorized to institute litigation only upon approval of the School Board.
