PROFESSIONAL SERVICES PROCUREMENT

The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board will solicit for professional services for which the cost of the services exceeds $10,000.  Requests for Qualifications shall be advertised in the official journal and copies of the Requests for Qualifications documents shall be made available to all firms interested in proposing.  A review committee will be appointed by the Superintendent and/or his or her designee to evaluate the proposals.  The review committee will make a recommendation to the appropriate School Board committee for consideration.

For services for which the cost does not exceed $10,000, the Superintendent or his/her designee may assign the work to a professional/firm on terms and conditions deemed to be in the best interest of the East Baton Rouge Parish School System.

Notwithstanding any requirements in the above policy, the Superintendent has the authority to execute professional services contracts for which the cost does not exceed $50,000, provided that the Request for Qualifications process described above is followed, with the exception that the Superintendent shall be authorized to select the firm or vendor.
