STUDENT IDENTIFICATION

A state identification number shall be assigned each student upon enrollment, in accordance with Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education requirements.

FINGERPRINTING

The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board shall permit school officials or parent organizations to provide a fingerprinting service that will produce a fingerprint record for each student.  Such a service shall be permitted provided:

1. The sponsoring group has approval from the Superintendent or designee.
   
   

2. The parents give written approval for the child's participation in the program.
   
   

3. The parents accept the responsibility of keeping the fingerprint records.
   
   

4. The activity shall take place prior to or after the school day or at a time acceptable to the principal that will avoid disruption of instructional time for the children.
