The Information Technology (IT) Department provides daily hardware and software support for one of the largest single wide area networks in the state of Louisiana. The IT Department manages and supports instructional and business enterprise applications, 20,000+ computers, 35,000+ Chromebooks, 400+ servers, and thousands of network electronic devices all connected through our district’s 10 GB backbone. This network, secured by a robust E-Rate, CIPA compliant Internet filter, provides the technological highway upon which the district’s instructional, business, and communications systems flow at more than 90 instructional and administrative campuses across the entire school system. Reliable, secure, and high-speed Internet is a necessity for the success of our technology-driven curriculum and assessments. The IT Department has recently upgraded the EBR Internet and wide area network connectivity at all campuses, greatly increasing our Internet and WAN bandwidth from a 1GB to a 10GB network.

How do I register as a new user in the help desk ticket system?
Before submitting your first Help Desk Ticket, you must register using our district’s account number. If you access the Help Desk Ticket System from an EBR computer, the account number should be populated for you. Otherwise, you’ll need to enter the district’s account number: 934493128
I’ve submitted a help desk ticket before, but I’ve forgotten my password.
If you have previously submitted a Help Desk Ticket, but have forgotten your password, click the “Forgot Password” link to receive instructions for resetting your password. The password you create when you set up your account is established by YOU – it is unique to your account. However, the submittal password is the same for every Help Desk Ticket request. (The submittal password is education.)

What’s the “submittal” password?
The submittal password for every Help Desk Ticket Request is education. This is different and separate from the Help Desk Ticket account password you established when you created your account. After entering all necessary and required information for Steps 1-6 of the Help Desk Ticket request, enter the word education as the Submittal Password.

Resetting a Password: Computer, Email, JCampus, Google, etc.
Utilize PASS to reset your password for your EBR computer, EBR email, JCampus, and EBR Google accounts. To access PASS, from an EBR computer, open an Internet browser page and type the URL pass.ebrschools.org in the address bar. You will be prompted to answer questions about the information that Human Resources has on file for you, then you will be prompted to reset your password. When you reset the password, your password for your EBR computer, EBR email, JCampus, EBR Google, and other EBR accounts will all be reset – they are synchronized. This sync may take up to 30 minutes.
Email access for New Employees
When a new employee joins the faculty, computer and email access will be available AFTER the Human Resources department issues an employee identification number and activates the employee’s account. Following that process, the school secretary will be notified of the employee’s id number. Then, the new employee will be able to establish their password by using PASS (pass.ebrschools.org) from an EBR computer.
