EBR Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) is a regional training provider for high school students in high demand, high paying jobs in the Capital Region. CTEC provides rigorous, project-based instruction, Industry BAsed Certifications (IBC), and dual enrollment opportunities that can be used toward an Associate Degree while in high school.
The EBR Career & Technical Education Center (CTEC) prepares students for the challenge of postsecondary education and a globally competitive workforce. We achieve this through quality academic instruction, hands-on training in a small group environment, and internships with our partners in business, industry and the community. CTEC provides training by master trainers and technicians in the manufacturing, construction crafts, health care and information technology fields. All EBR CTEC programs provide opportunities for students to earn advanced industry-based credentials and college credit. This specialized program allows students to earn industry-based certification and college credits toward an associate degree.
CTEC is a regional center that accepts students from high schools across the capital region and provides them with a 2-3 year education experience that provides our high school graduates with more than a diploma. CTEC students are prepared to take and earn Industry-Based Certifications (IBCs) and dual enrollment credits toward an associate degree through BRCC. Students at CTEC get to enjoy the traditional high school experience through their homeschool and spend half a day (either A or B Day) at the state-of-the-art Career and Technical Education Center located on Lobdell Blvd. CTEC students are given access to training labs and instructors that have industry experience.
