About Our School
Baton Rouge Foreign Language Academic Immersion Magnet (FLAIM) Elementary School provides Spanish, French, and Mandarin immersion classes for Kindergarten through grade five.
Through academic immersion, teachers provide instruction in the target language, teaching academic curriculum and a second language simultaneously. at FLAIM, students learn math, science, art, and social studies using French-, Spanish-, or Mandarin-speaking teachers. It has been an overwhelming success.
It also offers Pre-K Program that is not Immersion.

The French government has honored FLAIM with the highly prestigious LaBel Franc Award. A strings program, 4-H, Kids’ Orchestra, and Fitness Focus rounds out all that FLAIM has to offer, but the family atmosphere this school is famous for is what bonds students and faculty together for life.
