Parkview Elementary School offers traditional, self-contained gifted, gifted resource classes; and talented art, drama, and music.
VIEW OUR SCHOOL WEBSITEEvery classroom is equipped with activeboards and wireless internet access. Students in grades three, four, and five all have their own Chromebook for 1:1 technology. The school also provides high quality before and aftercare programs. Teachers and staff use Positive Behavior Interventions and Support program (PBIS) to promote a positive and safe environment. Students celebrate their own positive behavior by eagerly earning BEE bucks, leading to monthly PBIS specific activities. Ancillary activities include the Define, Assess, Respond, Evaluate (DARE) program (grade five) and Panther Choir (grades 3-5). The dedicated PE coaches offer recess soccer and AG Football Club (grades 3-5) which culminates in a World Cup Championship game and Super Bowl game. Parkview Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) works tirelessly to help the school raise funds for important materials including raising funds needed to buy and install the activeboards. Parkview students also give back through their Annual Spring Fling, Panther Prowl Fun Walk, student talent show, Mums for Moms, Donuts for Dads, and grandparents week luncheon.
The dedicated effort by students, staff, faculty, and parents paid off. Several of the dedicated teachers have been EBR district-level Teachers of the Year. Parkview was awarded the prestigious 2014 U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and has been rated as an A School by the Louisiana Department of Education for more than a decade. The Bees have received several recognitions for exemplary academic growth.
