Located in the southeast section of East Baton Rouge Parish, Wedgewood Elementary School is situated in a large community setting surrounded by a supportive neighborhood and local business partners.

Dedicated, hardworking, highly qualified, and experienced teachers instruct students in both regular and special education programs. Their goal is to enrich each and every learner socially and academically. In Fall 2007, the Gifted and Scholastic Academy was added. These classes offer a higher degree of complexity that goes beyond the traditional classroom curriculum. Students can also participate in Cheerleading, Choir Club, and Chess Club.
