DESCRIPTION:The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is delighted to announce the highly anticipated Back-to-School Bash 2024. The spectacular event celebrating the commencement of the new academic year will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Raising Cane’s River Center\, 275 S. River Road.The Back-to-School Bash is an exciting and engaging community event designed to bring students\, parents\, teachers and the community together in a fun and festive atmosphere. Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities\, including interactive booths\, educational resources\, entertainment and much more. This year’s event is proudly sponsored by Cox Communications\, BREC\, ExxonMobil\, The Power Coalition\, Louisiana Housing Corporation\, CareSouth\, EBR Parish Library and the city of Baton Rouge.  \nTaneshia Flowers\, public information officer and the event organizer for the past two years\, expressed her enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to host the Back-to-School Bash once again. This event is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together\, celebrate the start of a new school year and support our students and educators. It’s going to be a fantastic day filled with excitement\, learning and community spirit.”  \nIn addition\, EBRPSS will also host the “Welcome Back: Teacher’s Appreciation and Support Staff Celebration” from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 2 at the River Center. \n“We want to celebrate our staff for all the hard work that they do and gear up for another exciting and successful school year\,” Flowers said. “Their commitment and passion make our school system thrive\, and this celebration is a small way to show our gratitude and support.”  \nBoth events are free\, while only the Back to School Bash celebration is open to the public.
