The Prekindergarten Gifted Program is an educational program for children between the ages of 3 and 5 who are identified as gifted by the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. Prekindergarten classes provide a high degree of complexity and extend beyond the prescribed curriculum offered in regular classes. Classes are taught by teachers certified in Prekindergarten Gifted Education and have a reduced class size in order to individualize each student’s educational program.

If a child currently attends a school in East Baton Rouge Parish School System, then the school counselor can adminster the gifted screening.

Parents can call Pupil Appraisal Services directly to schedule screening for their child at (225) 929-8600.
