EBRPSS employees to return Monday, August 22, school to resume for students Wednesday, August 24

Aug. 17 2016

East Baton Rouge Parish School System employees will be expected to return to work on Monday, August 22. Some essential employees may be contacted by their supervisors to report earlier to provide assistance in preparing to resume school. There will be no school for students for the remainder of the week due to the impacts of flooding. Students will return to school on Wednesday, August 24.

“We are working diligently to develop a plan to resume school while recognizing the impact of this tragedy on our community, our employees and our facilities,” said Superintendent Warren Drake. “We anticipate having a more definitive projection of which facilities will remain offline, and where we will relocate those students by tomorrow afternoon,” Drake continued.
