EBRPSS Invites Public to Participate in Facility Plan Community Meetings

Oct. 12 2021

The community is invited to attend meetings to discuss the state of facilities across the East Baton Rouge Parish School System and to share additional thoughts on the vision for the district’s facility plans. The feedback collected at each meeting will help to inform the district’s future Facility Master Plan.

“We are excited to learn more from our community and stakeholders about their hopes for the future of our district,” shared Superintendent Sito Narcisse Ed.D. “That starts with being honest about the real condition of our facilities and working with the community to hear their vision for EBR Schools in 10, 20 or even 30 years from now.”

Each town hall will begin at 6:00 pm and take place at the following locations:

    • Liberty Magnet High School cafeteria, Oct. 13
    • Northeast High School cafeteria, Oct. 19
    • Belaire High School theater, Oct. 27
    •  Scotlandville Magnet High School library, Nov. 3
    • Tara High School library, Nov. 10
    • Woodlawn High School library, Nov. 16

The Facilities Master Plan will be developed over the course of the next year and will head to the School Board for final approval in June 2022. Those who can’t attend in person are invited to livestream each meeting at link.ebrschools.org/facilityplan.
