Scotlandville Pre-Engineering Magnet Hosts STEM Luncheon

In celebration of two recent STEM accomplishments, Scotlandville Pre-Engineering Magnet Academy hosted an I Love STEM Luncheon on Tuesday, February 14. Mayor Sharon Weston Broome attended the event which spotlighted the projects of the recent Future City Regional Competition winners who will soon travel to Washington D.C. to compete nationally. The school also celebrated a first place finish in the state Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Competition which earned the school a $25,000 award. They will now compete nationally in this competition as well. During the luncheon the students presented their winning projects and discussed the impact of STEM related experiences on their education and future endeavors.
