Superintendent Drake was named the 2017 American Association of School Libraries (AASL) Distinguished Administrator. This award honors a school administrator who has made worthy contributions to advancing the role of the school library in the educational program. He will represent our district and library services program in Chicago at the American Library Association conference in June to receive his national award. This award includes a check for $2000. Mr. Drake has donated the funds to the Greenbrier Elementary library. Greenbrier Elementary lost their entire library collection in the flood and will use the money to purchase new books for the students.
