The American Journal of French Studies named four outstanding EBR students winners amongst 1,070 applications spanning the United States. The AJFS challenged students to submit writings covering one of three topics: transportation in the future, why you chose to study French, or how coronavirus has affected your life.
Our 2020 student winners are:
Silvia Rivet, Baton Rouge Magnet High School, 2nd Place
Amelia Thompson, Westdale Middle School, 8th Place
Maggie Stewart, Liberty High School, 13th Place
Abhinav Pathak, Glasgow Middle School, 20th Place
Amelia and Abhinav are the only two middle school student winners, out of the 1,070 essays received.
We are very proud of the performance of these French students as well as their French teachers who inspire them daily.
