TV One, Cox Communications and the East Baton Rouge Parish School System present the 47th NAACP Image Awards Scholarship Program/Essay Contest

– The 47th NAACP Image Awards Scholarship Program/Essay Contest is open to all public school junior and senior high school students in East Baton Rouge Parish.

– Essays must address the topic “What Black History Means to Me”

o Essays must be 500 words or less
o Deadline is Monday, January 25, 2016 (all mailed entries must be post-marked by 01/25/2016)

– Winners will be recognized at a VIP Screening of the 47th Annual NAACP Image Awards on Friday, February 5, 2016, hosted at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library, 7711 Goodwood Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70806
