Alternative Programs

Long Term Discipline

Long term discipline schools offer alternative placement for assigned students who have displayed behaviors resulting in a long-term suspension, expulsion, administrative transfer, or referral through the Re-Engagement Center. Alternative schools with a discipline focus will provide access to instruction aligned to the Louisiana Student Standards and services targeting students’ behavioral and social emotional needs with the intended goal of equipping them with replacement behaviors needed to smoothly transition back to the traditional school setting.
