Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Magnolia Woods Elementary! I am excited to welcome our new and returning Bears as we continue our journey with Mission: Possible Part II — Excellence is the Expectation.
At Magnolia Woods, we believe every child deserves a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where they are challenged to grow, encouraged to lead, and inspired to reach their fullest potential. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond academics. We are dedicated to developing confident, responsible, and compassionate students who understand that their possibilities are limitless.
Strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. I encourage our families to remain actively involved by communicating with teachers, monitoring student progress and attendance, attending school events, and celebrating learning along the way. When families and educators work together, our students benefit tremendously.
As we begin this school year, our focus is clear: high expectations, strong relationships, consistent attendance, quality instruction, and excellence in everything we do. Every day matters, every student matters, and every member of our Magnolia Woods family plays an important role in our success.
Thank you for trusting us with your children and for continuing to support Magnolia Woods Elementary. I am looking forward to an incredible year filled with growth, achievement, memorable experiences, and many reasons to celebrate our Bears.
Welcome to the Magnolia Woods Elementary Family!
The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is advising families that school bus transportation may experience delays during the Friday afternoon commute home because of weather and road conditions across the parish. Transportation staff members are working to safely transport students while navigating possible heavy traffic, flooded areas and impacted roadways caused by
changing weather conditions.
District officials said student safety remains the top priority as drivers continue routes throughout the parish. The district appreciates the understanding and cooperation of families and the community during the weather event.
