Woodlawn High School offers the Gifted Program for students that have been identified as gifted for grades 9-12. Students may participate in one or more self-contained gifted classes for the core subjects of mathematics, science, social studies, and English. Courses are taught by teachers certified in Gifted Education and have a reduced class size. Our gifted classes have an average of 10 students per class. Don’t let the small class size deceive you; the rigor of the classes and student expectations are high for all students at WHS.

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is advising families that school bus transportation may experience delays during the Friday afternoon commute home because of weather and road conditions across the parish. Transportation staff members are working to safely transport students while navigating possible heavy traffic, flooded areas and impacted roadways caused by
changing weather conditions.
District officials said student safety remains the top priority as drivers continue routes throughout the parish. The district appreciates the understanding and cooperation of families and the community during the weather event.
