Cedarcrest-Southmoor Elementary School is one of the best-kept secrets in East Baton Rouge Parish. The school offers gifted resource classes and a Scholastic Academy, purposefully designed to elevate thinking and problem-solving skills in preparation for students taking the gifted and talented screening. Organizations like Girls on the Run and Guys on the Fly running clubs, and Junior Beta help students develop social and academic skills. Ongoing events such as International Day, Fall Festival, Muffins with Mom and Family Learning Nights strengthen the relationships among students, school and family.
