A partnership with LSU, this program will play a key role in addressing the current and future needs of the environmental industry: environmental erosion; wetlands conservation; soil and native ecosystems; mitigation; and conservation. The goal of the program is to develop and implement an instructional model that increases student awareness of their environment from a scientific viewpoint.
Eva Legard Center for Coastal and Environmental Studies is the most unique school setting in the parish. We have small class sizes, a science focused curriculum, and a thriving partnership with the LSU College of Coastal Studies. Our students will begin taking dual enrollment college classes as freshmen in high school and can earn 60 college credit hours and an associate degree by the time they graduate high school. We are currently accepting applications for grades 6-8, so call us for a tour. Every day is a great day at ELC!
