Southeast Middle Magnet School has a program and activity for every student. Students have the opportunity to leave Southeast with up to six high school credits, including Algebra I, geometry, environmental science, digital media, speech, publishing, keyboarding, multimedia production, JAG and many others. Each year, students are involved in community outreach and hands-on project-based learning activities. Southeast Middle Magnet offers both the Digital Arts and Technology Academy as well as traditional academic programs.
The school is a nationally certified magnet school with many accolades: a finalist for the EBR Teacher of the Year; a Magnet Schools of America’s Teacher of the Year; Wayland Foundation National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation winner, first place winner in the Global Student Voice Festival, and Film of the Year in the inaugural EBR Film Festival.
Our goal at Southeast Middle is to offer multiple opportunities to our students and provide exposure, preparation and access to college and career.
