EXCITEMENT AT BELFAIR

MEET OUR PRINCIPAL

Welcome to our school community!

At Belfair Montessori, we are deeply committed to nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit, through an authentic Montessori education. Guided by our mission, we strive every day to create a learning environment where students develop not only strong academic foundations, but also independence, empathy, and a genuine connection to the world around them.

Our classrooms are thoughtfully prepared to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and self-directed learning. Through hands-on experiences and individualized instruction, students are empowered to take ownership of their education while developing the confidence and skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

We believe that education is most meaningful when it supports the growth of the whole child. That means helping students become kind, socially aware individuals who respect others, care for the environment, and move through the world with grace and purpose.

We are proud of our dedicated staff, supportive families, and, most of all, our amazing students. Whether you are a current member of our school community or considering joining us, I invite you to explore all that Belfair Montessori has to offer. Together, we are shaping a generation of thoughtful, capable, and compassionate learners.

Warm regards,

Pamela Dunlap

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is advising families that school bus transportation may experience delays during the Friday afternoon commute home because of weather and road conditions across the parish. Transportation staff members are working to safely transport students while navigating possible heavy traffic, flooded areas and impacted roadways caused by
changing weather conditions.

District officials said student safety remains the top priority as drivers continue routes throughout the parish. The district appreciates the understanding and cooperation of families and the community during the weather event.
