EXPRESS YOURSELF ACADEMICALLY AND CREATIVELY

BRCVPA is an arts-integrated, free, public magnet school.

At BRCVPA, both the arts and academics share the spotlight. All students in K-5 engage in a grade-level theatrical production each school year. Fourth-grade students imagine, create, plan and execute their own original musical, and fifth- grade students put on a licensed production each spring, which they share with neighboring schools and the community. Students leave BRCVPA as confident, articulate problem-solvers. They benefit from instruction targeted to various learning styles and have ample opportunities to express themselves academically and creatively. The school believes that a strong basis in the creative arts infused throughout all academics will give students the necessary skills to contribute to and interact effectively within the global society.

Meet the principal

BRCVPA is a unique place to learn and have fun. On our campus you will see colorful murals on the breezeway and outdoor amphitheater, along with hundreds of smiling faces in the student collages that line the halls. In our classrooms you will observe our students learning creatively at high levels and engaging with each other collaboratively. In our Arts Building, you will hear the joyful sounds of the choir singing a new song coupled with the orchestra practicing their musical selections. You will see our students learning dances of various styles and cultures and getting messy creating in the art room. Onstage, you will see our students practicing for their next drama production. We would love to have you join the BRCVPA family!

Stay Up to Date with the Latest Weather Updates

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is advising families that school bus transportation may experience delays during the Friday afternoon commute home because of weather and road conditions across the parish. Transportation staff members are working to safely transport students while navigating possible heavy traffic, flooded areas and impacted roadways caused by
changing weather conditions.

District officials said student safety remains the top priority as drivers continue routes throughout the parish. The district appreciates the understanding and cooperation of families and the community during the weather event.
