CULTIVATING CHILDREN’S IMAGINATIVE POWERS

We believe in the motto “Change the mind! Change the culture!”

EBR Readiness Elementary is an alternative school which promotes student academic success through quality instruction, relationship building, and restorative practices. We believe in the motto Change the mind! Change the culture! Our desire is to train and cultivate the imaginative powers of our youth by modeling educational strategies and ethical behaviors that help them become strong, flexible, and discerning individuals with superior conceptual capabilities. We make sure that there is an adult in every classroom and session who cares that every student, every day, learns, grows and is valued as a human being.

from the principal

As the leader of an alternative education site, I firmly believe that one mistake should not define a person—or determine the trajectory of their entire life—especially at such a young and impressionable age. Our purpose is to seize these pivotal moments as opportunities to teach essential social-emotional skills in a supportive and structured environment. In doing so, we help our youngest learners grow, heal, and successfully transition to the next phase of their academic journey.

Stay Up to Date with the Latest Weather Updates

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is advising families that school bus transportation may experience delays during the Friday afternoon commute home because of weather and road conditions across the parish. Transportation staff members are working to safely transport students while navigating possible heavy traffic, flooded areas and impacted roadways caused by
changing weather conditions.

District officials said student safety remains the top priority as drivers continue routes throughout the parish. The district appreciates the understanding and cooperation of families and the community during the weather event.
