The Jaquars of Merrydale Elementary School strive to exceed expectations. We teach our scholars to do all things the “Merrydale way,” which means showing kindness, respect and responsibility. Our scholars are nurtured by educators who empower them through social-emotional learning, which is proven to increase self-awareness and academic success. We create educational opportunities beyond the classroom by utilizing Stem Club, Harambee, parental involvement, The Kindness Tree, a schoolwide PBIS program and more. Our scholars gain the necessary skills to become lifelong learners and leaders. Come see us in action as we empower every student, in every class, every day!
Welcome to Merrydale Elementary! As the proud principal of our PreK–2 learning community, I am honored to serve our youngest scholars during these critical foundational years. Early childhood is a time of wonder, growth, and possibility, and at Merrydale, we are committed to nurturing every child’s natural curiosity while building the academic, social, and emotional skills they need to thrive. I believe that joyful learning, high expectations, and meaningful relationships are the keys to success. Our school is a place where students are known, valued, and celebrated. With the support of our dedicated teachers and staff, we strive to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where children love to learn and grow each day. Strong partnerships with families are essential, and I welcome collaboration as we work together to lay a solid foundation for lifelong learning. Whether it’s through classroom engagement, school events, or a quick conversation at drop-off, I look forward to getting to know each of you. Together, we are building bright futures—one child, one moment, one day at a time.
