The instructional focus of Park Forest Middle Creative Sciences and Arts Magnet is STEAM education. The STEAM concept infuses components of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics throughout the core curriculum to offer students unique learning experiences that prepare them for high school and beyond. Students use project-based learning to investigate and explore the areas of animation, robotics, coding, entertainment technology and renewable energy. Raiders develop 21st-century critical thinking skills through scientific inquiry and the engineering design process. A partnership with Global Geospatial Institute using GIS software allows students to find new information through project-based learning, real- world problem-solving and service-learning to prepare them to live, compete and successfully function in their community and global society.
