PARK FOREST MIDDLE CREATIVE SCIENCES & ARTS MAGNET

BRIGHT FUTURE

Preparing students for a bright future through dedication and commitment to the student body and providing their variety of needs, passions and dreams.

The instructional focus of Park Forest Middle Creative Sciences and Arts Magnet is STEAM education. The STEAM concept infuses components of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics throughout the core curriculum to offer students unique learning experiences that prepare them for high school and beyond. Students use project-based learning to investigate and explore the areas of animation, robotics, coding, entertainment technology and renewable energy. Raiders develop 21st-century critical thinking skills through scientific inquiry and the engineering design process. A partnership with Global Geospatial Institute using GIS software allows students to find new information through project-based learning, real- world problem-solving and service-learning to prepare them to live, compete and successfully function in their community and global society.

from the principal

In partnership with our families and community, we strive to provide an educational environment where students are challenged daily, excellence is expected by all stakeholders, and diversity is truly valued. Our staff works tirelessly to provide our students with the essential skills and knowledge to become successful citizens in a global community. Our students engage in project-based, hands-on and real-world experiences in areas of coding, aviation simulation, energy conservation, and entertainment technology which are all progressively growing industries. At Park Forest Middle CSAM, we provide a student-centered nurturing environment where students have opportunities to explore, create and find their artistic passion in our creative sciences and arts programs. Our mantra is, “We’re putting students on a path to a brighter academic future!” I implore all to come and be a part of the Raider Family!
