Thank to Volunteers In Public Schools and Mr. Justin Lewis for Coordinating with St. James Episcopal Church- Mrs. Robyn Richards- Coordinator and group. Today this wonderful group volunteered at our school and cleaned our school’s garden. They cleaned out flower beds, trimmed and cut both trees and shrubs to aid in the revitalization of our garden. This was also extra special, because one of our volunteers Mr. Andy McCall’s father Mr. Bobby McCall attended Dufrocq in the 1950’s.

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is advising families that school bus transportation may experience delays during the Friday afternoon commute home because of weather and road conditions across the parish. Transportation staff members are working to safely transport students while navigating possible heavy traffic, flooded areas and impacted roadways caused by
changing weather conditions.

District officials said student safety remains the top priority as drivers continue routes throughout the parish. The district appreciates the understanding and cooperation of families and the community during the weather event.
