MAGNET AT PARK FOREST ELEMENTARY

We are very pleased to offer a Magnet Program at Park Forest Elementary. For more information and details on how to apply, click below. 

  • Visit THE EBR MAGNET PROGRAMS APPLICATION PORTAL  ebrmagnet.org to complete your application for your first-choice school.
  • Complete all fields, and be sure to include correct and updated email addresses and phone numbers.
  • Click SUBMIT to complete your application within 5 days of beginning the process.
  • The signature page will be emailed to you within 15 minutes of submitting the application.
    • The email comes from “noreply,” and the subject line says “[EBR Choice] Application Submission.”
    • Once you find the email, the link to print your signature page can be found at the bottom of the email. This can be brought to school, or emailed to parkforestmagnet@ebrschools.org
    • You can also digitally sign the signature form inside the portal! (This is preferred).
  • Upload the proofs of residency and sign the signature form within 4 days of the online submission date.
    • Acceptable proofs include: mortgage, lease, utility bill (water, gas, sewer, electricity), cable bill, phone bill. These may be uploaded into the portal!
    • If an affidavit of residency is needed/used, we will also need copies of the homeowner’s drivers license, as well as the parent/guardian. These documents can be uploaded into the portal or emailed to parkforestmagnet@ebrschools.org
  • Your application process is not complete until your application has been marked eligible for the magnet lottery. Please check your email for messages about your application. You are responsible for keeping your email address current and accessible, as this is the primary method of communication regarding applications.
  • Eligible means that the application is eligible for the lottery, and that your child’s name may be selected, but it is not a guarantee of admission.
  • Notifications of acceptance are usually mailed within 2 weeks of the application pool closing date. 

Meet Our Principal

It is our charge as leadership, faculty and staff to make every day a day filled with relevant learning, meaningful instruction and social-emotional support including families and community in our day-to-day processes. We must remain relevant in our use of instructional technology to be successful in educating our students today for the future unknowns. We understand our parents are entrusting us with their children to not only educate, but also to build positive relationships that empower and change the trajectory of how students think about school. This is not easy but is necessary to produce productive young students ready to face middle school and beyond.

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is advising families that school bus transportation may experience delays during the Friday afternoon commute home because of weather and road conditions across the parish. Transportation staff members are working to safely transport students while navigating possible heavy traffic, flooded areas and impacted roadways caused by
changing weather conditions.

District officials said student safety remains the top priority as drivers continue routes throughout the parish. The district appreciates the understanding and cooperation of families and the community during the weather event.
