WOODLAWN MIDDLE MAGNET SCHOOL

LEARNING BY DOING

Our goal is to create a society of critical thinkers who will positively influence the world of the future.

Excellence does not happen by chance—it happens by choice. Woodlawn Middle is second to none in offering parents and students a variety of choices in academic and elective courses. Some academic programs offered at Woodlawn Middle are gifted, Scholastic Academy, Great Scholars, magnet, traditional, inclusion, resource and community-based. Many of our programs allow students to earn high school credits in courses such as Algebra I, geometry, world geography, physical science and more. Along with our many academic programs, students participating in our talented program take courses such as art, theater or music. We believe in innovation, diversity, and academic excellence. Woodlawn Middle gives students a learning experience that allows them to think critically, work collaboratively, and learn by doing.

Woodlawn Middle is an amazing school that is dedicated to excellence!  We just received the honor of being named a 2022 Magnet School of Distinction.  We are extremely proud of our inclusive community, where students are challenged appropriately and where they learn to persevere through difficult tasks.  Our passion and commitment are to create a better community and world.  We believe strongly in our five core values of respect, responsibility, courage, sacrifice and perseverance.  Our rigorous curriculum and commitment to excellence is second to none.  We have been named a National Beta School of Distinction and are a RAMP School.  Excellence does not happen by chance; it happens by choice.  Woodlawn Middle School gives students a learning experience that allows them to think critically, work collaboratively, and learn by doing.
