EBR Parish public schools virtual Wednesday due to Weather

Based on the latest weather forecasts and guidance from state and local agencies, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System will transition to virtual and remote learning on Wednesday, March 30.

School leaders have been notified to send students home today with their Chromebooks, personalized technology or learning packets. Teachers and staff whose work location is a school site will not report to their respective site but are required to teach virtually. Any administrative staff not serving at a school site will be dismissed at noon Wednesday to ensure they are home safely before the worst of the weather impacts.

The safety and security of our students and staff are our top priority.

Please stay tuned to local news outlets, ebrschools.org and the EBR Schools’ Facebook page (@EBRPschools) for more information. For additional guidance on early dismissal and schedules, please refer to our emergency procedures and delayed start guidance.

EBR Schools welcomes honest, friendly, and open conversation on our website and we are committed to making this a safe place for all. Any comment that could be considered threatening, or has the potential to intimidate, exclude, harass or silence others will be removed. Please also be aware that a web comment is not a replacement for our standard customer service channels and is not monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Hence, if your matter is urgent, please call (225) 922-5400 during business hours and someone will work to assist you.
