The East Baton Rouge Parish School System Human Resources Department will host its annual Spring Fling Recruitment and Retention Event to connect job seekers with career opportunities across the district.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 23, at Claiborne Elementary School, 4707 Denham St.
EBR Schools is hiring qualified teachers, paraprofessionals, Child Nutrition Program cooks and managers and Transportation Department employees.
“Our Spring Fling event is about building strong schools by attracting talented people who want to make a difference in the lives of students,” said Edward Roberts, Human Resources recruitment manager. “Whether someone is an experienced educator, looking for a new career path or interested in supporting students through transportation or child nutrition services, we want them to see the many opportunities available in EBR Schools.”
Those without a teaching certificate are encouraged to attend. EBR Schools partners with alternative certification programs that help qualified candidates earn the credentials they need to enter the classroom.
In addition to on-the-spot hiring, the Fall Fling will feature vendors and informational booths highlighting EBR’s employee benefits, including tuition reimbursement, housing discounts and more.
