Joe Burrow Foundation launches mental health initiative in EBR Schools

The Joe Burrow Foundation has introduced the “Burrow Blueprint,” an initiative designed to support public schools in effectively addressing and improving mental health issues.

At the launch reception on Monday, July 28, at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, speakers such as Robin and Jimmy Burrow, parents of former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow; EBR Schools Superintendent LaMont Cole; and Mary Kay Irwin, senior director of School Health at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Ohio, highlighted the importance of this initiative.

The EBR Schools expected to provide on-site medical service this year are:

  1. Broadmoor High School
  2. Glasgow Middle School
  3. Glen Oaks Magnet High School
  4. Istrouma Middle and High School
  5. Northeast High School
  6. Scotlandville High School
  7. Westdale Middle School
