Please join us for two nights of action-packed high school football action.

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is excited to kick off the high school football season for the third consecutive year with the “Battle on the Bluff” jamboree on Aug. 27-28 at Southern University’s A.W. Mumford Stadium.

Sponsored by the East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President’s Office, the highly anticipated “Battle on the Bluff” will feature six games and 12 teams, including newcomer Madison Prep.

“This event is about more than football,” EBR Schools Superintendent LaMont Cole said. “It’s about bringing our schools and community together, creating memorable experiences for our students and celebrating the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes, coaches and families.”

Mayor-President Sid Edwards said he’s excited to see the Baton Rouge community come out and support its young people.

“As a coach, I know high school football is about more than the game. Battle on the Bluff brings our schools and communities together while giving our student-athletes an opportunity to compete under the lights at Southern University,” Edwards said.
