Twin Oaks Elementary School is excited to announce its inaugural Tales from the Oaks Children’s Book Festival. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the school, 819 Trammell Drive.
The festival is the culmination of a special program that allowed Twin Oaks’ creative and talented students to author their own books. This year’s theme, “I Have a Story to Tell,” highlights their achievements. Attendees will be able to meet these gifted writers, listen to excerpts from their published work and purchase their books. Students representing various other schools from across the district will also be in attendance.
In addition to author meet and greets, the event will feature interactive activities for families and book lovers of all ages, including:
- Live readings
- Craft activities
- Health and wellness booths
- Music and entertainment
- Concessions
The community is invited to join in celebrating these young writers and the power of storytelling. RSVPs are encouraged. Please confirm attendance by emailing jhenderson2@ebrschools.org. We look forward to an inspiring day filled with books, creativity and fun!
