Let`s take a moment to celebrate the amazing progress at Northdale Superintendent’s Academy, Arlington Prep, Woodlawn High, and Scotlandville High! Thanks to the $40 million bond investment, the district was able to begin completing the first few projects on these schools` wish lists. The High School experience bond in action. In October 2025, the EBR Parish School Board approved a $40 million bond investment to modernize our high schools and create stronger learning environments, student experiences, and career-readiness opportunities.
Since then, the district has:
Completed Groups I & II projects
Begun procurement for Group III & planning for Group IV, advancing larger and more complex investments
Expanded the conversation beyond buildings to consider the full high school experience
This work is grounded in our strategic plan and our commitment to student achievement, operational excellence, and developing the whole child. The goal is not simply to improve our campuses. It is to ensure every student has access to an exceptional high school experience.

The celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month just keeps getting better! At Glen Oaks Park, we recently enjoyed a vibrant dance showcasing the stunning "Traje típico," the traditional costume of Honduras. The energy was infectious, and the spirit of culture shone brightly as everyone came together to honor this rich heritage!
The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is advising families that school bus transportation may experience delays during the Friday afternoon commute home because of weather and road conditions across the parish. Transportation staff members are working to safely transport students while navigating possible heavy traffic, flooded areas and impacted roadways caused by
changing weather conditions.
District officials said student safety remains the top priority as drivers continue routes throughout the parish. The district appreciates the understanding and cooperation of families and the community during the weather event.
