The Liberty and Glen Oaks high school bands are sporting new uniforms this year, giving students another reason to march with pride.
The uniforms were made possible through the Foundation for the East Baton Rouge School System’s “Let’s Band Together” fundraising campaign, which was launched last year to help provide new marching band uniforms for 11 EBR high schools.
Liberty and Glen Oaks received new uniforms through the campaign, and the Woodlawn High band received donated uniforms from Sam Houston High near Lake Charles.
We still have work to do. Schools still in need of new marching band uniforms include Belaire, Broadmoor, Capitol, Istrouma, McKinley, Northeast, Scotlandville and Tara.
