The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is consistently one of the largest pupil transportation fleets in the state, providing regular, special education, and extracurricular transportation to students. Additionally, EBRPSS provides transportation services for non-profit entities and for the State of Louisiana in emergency situations.
We are committed to our students, parents, and community. We will conduct business in an ethical and professional manner with a commitment to nurturing and supporting student growth. We will always work to go the extra miles to deliver students safely, timely, and professionally.
Students must arrive at their bus stop at least ten minutes before the assigned pick-up time on their bus card.
Parents/legal guardians must report to their student’s home school or specialized magnet program to request transportation if their student lives more than a mile from their assigned school.
Parents will have to contact their student’s home school or school of choice to request transportation for Special Needs students.
Special requests are approved or denied within 48 hours of submission.
Note: EBRPSS will make no changes to bus stops or routes in the first two weeks of school.
Parents can go to https://wheresthebus.com to create an account and track their student’s bus. For more information, please see the ‘WheresTheBus App‘ section below.
Parents/legal guardians must call the Transportation Call Center with questions about their student’s bus stop or the supervisor assigned to their student’s home attendance zone or specialized program.
Parents/legal guardians must contact the Office of Homeless Programs and their student’s assigned home school with questions regarding student homelessness.
No, students who live within a one mile radius from their home school are to be self-transported. Please refer to Bulletin 119 for any questions.
No problem, just contact the transportation department and we will assign your student to a bus within 2 days or less.
It can be easy for a child to forget their bus route. Please download, print, and fill-in this backpack tag so they can have this important information with them all year.
