Public School Choice

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System will offer Public School Choice from March 1, 2022 to March 28, 2022 to parents of K-12 students zoned for and enrolled in the following schools for the academic school year 2022 – 2023.

*Students attending charter schools may always attend their home school and may complete a choice application if applicable.

  • Parents/guardians may complete a Public School Choice application by clicking the link below for the student(s) who attend or the students that are zoned to attend one of the schools listed above.
    • Transportation will be provided to attend the choice school.
    • Since enrollment is subject to availability, it is possible that your child will not be accepted into the first choice selected.
    • If requests outnumber available seats and the choice requests cannot be filled, students will remain at their current school.
  • If you wish for your child to participate in the Choice Program, please complete and submit the enclosed application no later than March 28, 2022.
  • Families who are new residents in the attendance zones of these schools or who reside in one of the zones and plan to transfer into the public school system may complete an application and explain their situation in the ‘Additional Information’ section.
  • New residents to the attendance zones and/or new transfers to the public school system will have fourteen days to apply for school choice.
  • If you are applying for multiple children, you will need to complete an application for each child.

Graphic Design

The Graphic Arts Department has the resources to produce whatever you need in terms of printed products and can do so at a lower cost than other printing agencies. With our offset and digital equipment, we have fast turnaround times and are capable of doing static and variable data printing. We can print posters, banners, wood, and plastic signs at sizes up to 4 feet wide. We have a designer on staff who can help you make your print jobs have a professional look and we have access to thousands of copyright free photos and clip art files for you to use.

School Safety & Security

The Office of School Safety and Security consist of Sheriff’s Deputies from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office. These School Resource Officers work on school campuses and site of the school system to provide safety and security for students and personnel. The School Resource Officers also maintain lines of communication with the students, staff, and the community.
