Thousands of students will walk across the stage in May of 2023 to pick up their high school diplomas on their way to the next stretch of life’s journey. Our hope is that we prepared them well. Our wish is that they enjoyed the ride. Our prayer is that they are successful and happy, that they are lifelong learners, and that they look back with fond memories of their days in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. Class of 2023 Graduation Ceremonies
The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is advising families that school bus transportation may experience delays during the Friday afternoon commute home because of weather and road conditions across the parish. Transportation staff members are working to safely transport students while navigating possible heavy traffic, flooded areas and impacted roadways caused by
changing weather conditions.
District officials said student safety remains the top priority as drivers continue routes throughout the parish. The district appreciates the understanding and cooperation of families and the community during the weather event.
