The house parties at Riveroaks Elementary are wild, loud — and educational. Each Friday, third- to fifth-grade students gather for house meetings where they set weekly goals, check academic progress, celebrate achievements, and build community.
Students are randomly placed into one of four houses — Reveur, Amistad, Isibindi, and Altruismo — each with its own theme, history, mascot, motto, and culture. The house system, inspired by the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, strengthens teamwork, collaboration, responsibility, leadership and confidence.
