Big drawing. Big winners.
Holiday cheer filled the Wedgewood Elementary auditorium as students gathered on Tuesday to sing Christmas carols and eagerly awaited the big drawing 🎄✨. The December PBIS event allowed students to earn tickets by demonstrating good character and meeting expectations.
Their hard work paid off as 10 tablets and 17 scooters were awarded.

Brandie Deemer is one of our amazing kindergarten paraprofessionals at Melrose Elementary! In her first year at Melrose, with four years of experience overall, including three years with EBR, she enjoys working with our youngest learners and witnessing their enthusiasm for learning. She is passionate about helping shape their futures, supporting her teacher in any way and giving students a strong start early in their education. While working toward becoming a teacher, she strives to be an inspiration to her students and truly loves her work.

No. 9 continues to give back to Baton Rouge ❤️
The Joe Burrow Foundation — founded by the former LSU and current Cincinnati Bengals quarterback — hosted a “Christmas Give” on Tuesday at Highland Elementary. The foundation provided 200 food boxes, complete with all the fixings for a healthy, hearty Christmas meal, to identified students and families.
Special thanks to the Joe Burrow Foundation, Associated Grocers and the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank for supporting our EBR Schools community.
