Margaret Rodrigue

"Wildwood Elementary teacher Margaret Rodrigue was a recipient of the 2020 Shell Regional Lab Challenge award. Ms. Rodrigue received $5000 worth of classroom materials from Carolina Biological Supply Company as well as additional science materials and supplies. In addition to the materials, she will also receive support from NSTA through professional development via a cohort of like-minded educators. The total value of this award is $10,000.
To enter the Shell Science Lab Regional Challenge, K-12 teachers were asked to describe their school's current laboratory resources, explain why laboratory upgrades and support would benefit the students, and describe their innovative approach to science instruction. Ms. Rodrigue's proposal was one of only three chosen from the region, which is paired with the Shell Chemical Geismar manufacturing site."
