Help Bring Holiday Magic to Students in Need Through ‘Adopt An Elf’
BATON ROUGE, LA. — The halls are beginning to fill with holiday cheer as the East Baton Rouge Parish School System launches its annual Adopt an Elf program. This joyful tradition helps make the season brighter for students experiencing homelessness or those in need this holiday season.
From Nov. 3–21, members of the community can visit ebrschools.org to “adopt” an elf, a student in need and shop for gifts that will make their holiday wishes come true. Whether it’s a warm coat, a favorite toy or a special surprise, every donation brings a little extra magic to a child’s season.
Instructions:
● Adopt an Elf here (ebrschools.org/adoptanelf).
● Check out their gift wishlist.
● Shop and return all items in a gift bag to Broadmoor Elementary School, 9650 Goodwood Blvd.
It is important for all gifts to be dropped off at Broadmoor Elementary from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 2–4, so EBR Schools elves (a.k.a. staff and volunteers!) can sort, wrap and deliver them before the winter break.
“The Adopt an Elf program reminds us all of the power of kindness,” said Superintendent LaMont Cole. “I love seeing our community come together to show students that they are loved and cared for and that the holidays are a time for giving, hope and joy.”
Grab your sleigh (or your shopping cart!) and help make the holidays a little brighter for EBR students. To learn more or adopt an elf, visit ebrschools.org starting Nov. 3.
