🎉 Congratulations to Baton Rouge Magnet High Principal Nanette McCann! 🎉

Nanette McCann was recently selected Magnet Schools of America Region V Principal of the Year, a highly competitive honor recognizing magnet leaders who exemplify excellence while advancing equity, diversity and opportunity for all students.

Under McCann’s leadership, Baton Rouge Magnet High continues to thrive as a model of academic rigor, innovation and an inclusive school culture. Her commitment to students, staff and the magnet mission truly sets the standard.

Region V includes Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. McCann will represent the region at the National Conference on Magnet Schools, April 14–18, in San Diego, where the national Principal of the Year will be announced.

Magnet Schools of America is a national nonprofit professional education association serving magnet schools, families, educators and community partners nationwide.
