JROTC Programs Pass Inspections

Congratulations to the JROTC programs at Belaire, Broadmoor, Scotlandville and Woodlawn high schools for passing their accreditation inspections with scores of 98% to 100%. The U.S. Army Cadet Command recently conducted the inspections and evaluated the cadets on various aspects such as community service, drill performance, and Color Guard performance.

Coming this school year, an eight-camera system will be installed on 500 school buses. EBR Schools Transportation Director Rob Howle said. “It’s going to create a safer environment because on the limited buses that we had cameras, we’ve seen a difference in student behavior. It’s going to create some accountability for the students, parents, and drivers.”
