🎨 Congratulations to Glasgow Middle’s Ananya Jain and Arlington Prep’s Xzavier Thomas for being recognized on Wednesday during the 2025 GOLD (Governor’s Outstanding Leadership in Disabilities) Awards at the Old State Capitol.
Ananya earned second place in the seventh-grade inclusive art contest, and Xzavier received an honorable mention in the high school category.
The ceremony was presented by the Governor’s Office of Disability Affairs. 🌟

Belaire High seniors are among those working hard to meet upcoming college scholarship deadlines. The Baton Rouge Youth Coalition is supporting their efforts and those of others by hosting a College Application Party with real-time assistance for applications, scholarships, transfers and more.

Four East Baton Rouge Parish students enjoyed a holiday shopping spree on Tuesday at Dick’s House of Sport — courtesy of LSU basketball standout Flau’jae Johnson and her More to 4 Foundation.
Each student was treated to a meal, games and a $400 shopping experience.

Employee Spotlight | Felicia Dotson
Dotson is a K-2 ESS teacher. She has been at Greenbrier for 11 years. This is her first year in the ESS role, and she says the transition has been smooth. She believes it’s important to help students become productive citizens when they grow up. Dotson loves building relationships with students and seeing them have that aha moment. Seeing former students thriving and flourishing keeps her going.
