Veronica Bernabe is a 3rd grade paraprofessional at Audubon Elementary! With five years at Audubon and 26 years in education, she has experience as both a teacher and paraprofessional and will soon return to the classroom as a teacher. She believes it is important to reach students, help them grow, and be someone they can count on. Having experienced that kind of support for her own children, she takes pride in being that person for other students.
With the volleyball season now underway. Baton Rouge High, Woodlawn and Scotlandville traveled to Brusly over the weekend for the Brusly Invitational. It’s a great time to “serve” up some excitement on the court!

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is advising families that school bus transportation may experience delays during the Friday afternoon commute home because of weather and road conditions across the parish. Transportation staff members are working to safely transport students while navigating possible heavy traffic, flooded areas and impacted roadways caused by
changing weather conditions.
District officials said student safety remains the top priority as drivers continue routes throughout the parish. The district appreciates the understanding and cooperation of families and the community during the weather event.
