East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sharon Weston-Broome to Visit Jefferson Terrace Academy for National School Breakfast Week

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is delighted to announce that Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome will join Bob the Builder for a special visit to Jefferson Terrace Academy at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, in honor of National School Breakfast Week.

The school system’s Child Nutrition Program is celebrating National School Breakfast Week in all schools from March 6-10. The campaign theme “DIG Into School Breakfast” encourages the school community to take advantage of the healthy breakfast options available.

On Tuesday, Bob the Builder and Mayor Broome will raise awareness and encourage Jefferson Terrace students to eat school breakfast. Broome is the co-chair of Share Our Strength’s Mayor’s Alliance, a campaign aiming to keep childhood hunger at the forefront in cities nationwide.

Participants at Jefferson Terrace will enjoy fun activities, listen to Broome’s inspiring message and receive nutrition education materials.

Jefferson Terrace is at 5601 Upton Drive.
