Employee Spotlight | Melissa Cooke
Melissa is a 4th-grade science and social studies teacher at WHAM. Spending 12 years with EBR. She believes in hands-on learning, which makes science an enjoyable experience. She loves the idea of having pets in the classroom, as it teaches responsibility and fosters a love for animals. What kids do outside of the classroom is essential; it`s not just about test scores. Crestworth Early Learning Center and Crestworth Elementary held a meaningful ceremony on Friday to respectfully retire their worn American flag and raise a new one. The Istrouma High JROTC and Boy Scouts from Crestworth led the ceremony with dignity and care, ensuring this tradition was carried out with honor.

Baton Rouge has welcomed 15 new phlebotomists! Incredible work is being done at the Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC). These newly certified medical professionals will draw blood for tests, transfusions, or donations.
