The pilot site for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System’s Pathways to Bright Futures held at Glen Oaks High School released data showing the overwhelming majority of participants in the program received passing grades. This data is based on a total number of 2nd quarter 9th-grade pilot participants being 67.
The EBR Exceptional Student Services Department will host a Virtual Transition Fair on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Sessions will run consecutively at the beginning of every hour.

How about some high school holiday hoops? The EBR/Bob Pettit Boys Basketball Tournament at Woodlawn High tips off at 3 p.m. today with Broadmoor taking on Glen Oaks. The tournament continues Friday and Saturday, culminating in the championship game set for 7:30 p.m. Monday. Join EBR Schools for an exciting few days of basketball.

Up and down the aisles of the College Walmart they went. Ninety-six students from Glasgow Middle School eagerly used their $100 gift cards for Christmas shopping as part of the school`s inaugural "Gifts for Gators." The event was made possible through donations and coordination by the federally funded Project SEED Grant. Selected students worked with a mentor teacher to create a shopping list and budget for their shopping experience. Mentor also taught students how to write a thank-you note to the donor. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the donors, including the families of school faculty, Stantec consulting engineers, Metro Councilman Rowdy Gaudet, First United Methodist Church, LS Womack contractors, and School Board member Mike Gaudet, whose contributions made this meaningful event possible.

For the sixth consecutive year, coach Terrell Thomas and members of his Broadmoor High School Buccaneers baseball team donated new bikes to students. Thomas said this year, they gifted 25 bikes to girls and boys at 12-15 elementary schools.
