Salute to Cadet Maj. Zamiria Miller, of Belaire High School, for leading the Pledge of Allegiance to open Thursday's School Board meeting. Zamiria was introduced by Belaire senior Army instructor Lt. Col. Dana Boyd-Donald (retired). Zamiria is a four-year member of the district’s largest JROTC program, where she serves as battalion commander. At Belaire, she has been an active and dedicated student leader. participating in the Honor Guard, Color Guard, archery team, and also competing on the school’s volleyball team. Upon graduation, she plans to join the U.S. Marine Corps and pursue a degree in nursing.
