🛍️ Gators Go Shopping — with the help of Tigers.
More than 120 Glasgow Middle students took part in the second annual Gift Cards for Gators event on Friday at the College Drive Walmart. Members of the LSU gymnastics team joined some Glasgow students in the effort. Each student received a $100 Walmart gift card after working with a mentor teacher on budgeting skills and writing thank-you notes.
Students were tasked with purchasing a gift for a family member, a gift for themselves and a gift for someone at Glasgow.
Any remaining funds were sent home to support their families.

McElroy is the reset/time-out room moderator at Broadmoor Elementary. She has been at the school for 32 years and in the district for 34 years. McElroy loves working with the students, parents and staff. Outside of school, McElroy often provides clothing and school supplies to students, making a meaningful impact on their lives. She loves it when former students come back to visit after they are grown. McElroy praises Broadmoor Principal Kalan Jones for listening "to every need of every staff member."
