Thanks to Entergy for its generous donation to the Big Buddy Program in support of the Mayor’s Youth Workforce Experience, a partnership between EBR Schools, Employ BR, Baton Rouge Community College, Baton Rouge Area Chamber, Big Buddy and the Office of the Mayor-President. The Youth Workforce Experience allows local high school scholars to gain valuable exposure to professional work environments, build transferable employability skills and earn industry-based credentials. Participants who meet the required on-the-job training and classroom instruction hours outlined by the Louisiana Department of Education will earn one Carnegie unit on their high school transcripts. Together, we are creating pathways for youth to thrive academically, professionally, and personally — all while investing in Baton Rouge’s future workforce.
